How to Delete Your Data
Delete Your Account
You can delete your Poppins account and the data tied to it. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1: Delete from inside the app (fastest)
If you're logged in, this is the quickest way. Open the app and go to You → Help & safety → Delete my account. Confirm when prompted, and your account will be deleted right away.
Option 2: Request account deletion
If you can't access the app — maybe you've already uninstalled it, or you can't log in — email us at info@poppinschildcare.com.
Enter the email address on your account and submit. We'll send a confirmation link to that email. Click the link to confirm, and we'll delete your account.
What gets deleted
When you confirm, we delete:

Your account and login credentials

Your profile information (name, phone, address, emergency contacts)

Your children's profiles and care notes

Your booking history and messages

Photos and videos from past bookings

Saved payment methods
What we keep, and why
We're required to retain some records for tax, insurance, and Utah childcare licensing purposes. After your account is deleted, we keep:

Booking and payment records (retained for up to 7 years to meet tax and licensing requirements)

Records related to any incident reports, if applicable

Anonymized analytics that can no longer be linked back to you
These records are kept securely and aren't used for marketing, shared with third parties for marketing, or used to contact you.
Timeline
We process deletion requests within 30 days of confirmation, usually within a few business days. You'll get an email when deletion is complete.
If you have an upcoming booking, please cancel it before requesting deletion. Otherwise we'll cancel it for you, and our standard cancellation policy may apply.
